Writing Projects

Each stage of the writing process takes about a week. It's the reason that I suggest that homeschooling moms not require more than one completed writing project per month. Does that mean that your kids will do no other writing during the month? Not at all. But it does mean that taking a project through the four major steps (topic selection and research, freewriting, narrowing and expanding, and finally publishing) need only occur once per month.

The Brave Writer emails will alert you to which week you are in so that you can remember to stay on track. If you need more detailed information on what each stage entails, you may purchase a copy of The Writer's Jungle or enroll in the Kidswrite Basic Course.

Attention: During the month of February (2005), I am teaching Kidswrite Basic in modified form through the email loop BraveWriterMoms. I will also post the content that goes with this mini course on my blog. This course is free and will only be offered in this once. So join up while you can!
