  • Comic Strip Capers

If your child loves comics, this is their creative playground! They'll learn how to craft their own comic strips—plotting, pacing, and dialoging their way through original or fan-based characters and scenarios. No drawing skills required!

  • Fan Fiction

In this class, students borrow beloved characters and drop them into their own original stories. Through the playful art of fanfic, we teach literary analysis, voice, and plot development—all while letting kids geek out over their favorite fandoms.

  •  Gamers Write!

Calling all Minecraft modders, Zelda speedrunners, and Roblox builders—this class explores how writing shapes video games and how gamers can shape writing. Students craft complex characters, origin stories, and action scenes while flexing narrative and expository muscles.

  • Movie Discussion Club

This isn’t your average movie night! We dive deep into storytelling, cinematography, and character development with a curated selection of films. Students discuss, write, and reflect—learning how to analyze story structure and visual storytelling while having a blast with other film fans.

  •  Scriptwriting

From page to screen (or stage), this class teaches students to write dialogue that pops and scenes that move. They'll craft their own short scripts while learning how screenwriters use conflict, pacing, and character arcs to build unforgettable moments.

  • Worldbuilding

Dragons. Dystopias. Magical forests. Epic kingdoms. In this class, students construct original fantasy or sci-fi worlds from the ground up, complete with maps, histories, languages, and lore. A delightful blend of creative writing and analytical thinking!

  • Writing a Greek Myth

What if Zeus had a smartphone? Or Hades ran a pizza place? Students modernize classic myths—or invent entirely new ones—while learning how ancient storytelling structures influence modern narratives.

Highlights of these courses:

  • Four weeks long and asynchronous, for maximum flexibility
  • Capped at 25 students who interact with each other, writer's workshop-style
  • Includes a live instructor giving personalized feedback to help writers grow

Your child already has the passion. Let’s help them turn that passion into writing power.
