Need one class for all your learners?

Yearning for a class where you, the parent, can get your writing questions answered?

Welcome to the family class! Unique in the online class space!

Yes, you, the parent, are enrolled in this class!

Our family classes are partnership classes where the parent posts student writing in the class and interacts directly with the instructor.

Activities are done all together as a family, then you, the parent, check in with our writing coach at your convenience.

Independent teens (13-14 years old) who are ready to read the material and engage in writing activities on their own are welcome to post separately in class.

The absolute best part? Everyone is enrolled for a single enrollment fee!

  • Groovy Grammar Workshop (ages 7-14)
Explore verbs, nouns, and adjectives in the context of how we actually use them as kids discover relationships between words that make the 'rules' true.
  • Nature Journaling (ages 7-14)
This class exposes children to earth science, art, math, and the benefits of physical education. Families venture outside to observe nature and draw and write about it!
  • Playing with Poetry: Discovery (ages 7-14)
Give your kids a chance to experience poetry in a way you probably didn’t. Focus on free verse, visual poetry, cinquains, and Japanese poetry.
  • Playing with Poetry: Experience (ages 7-14)
A new exploration of poetry following the interests of your writers. Focus on couplets, limericks, palindromes, Kenning poems, and blackout poetry.
  • Shakespeare Workshop (ages 7-14)
The workshop provides a multi-sensory approach to the study of Shakespeare and his works. A few informal writing assignments will be provided for families to do together or separately.

Highlights of these courses:

  • One price for the whole family
  • Capped at 25 families who interact with each other, writer's workshop-style
