  • Playing with Poetry: Discovery (family class; parent posts student writing)

  • Playing with Poetry: Exploration (family class; parent posts student writing)

Families embark on a relaxed, imaginative journey into poetry, discovering how playful language and everyday topics can spark creativity. Explore poetic devices like metaphor, rhyme, and personification, while crafting poems in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

  • Worldbuilding

Adore dragons? Dystopias? Alien worlds? We help your tweens design believable and compelling settings that fuel unforgettable stories. Each week, your kids will explore a new facet of worldbuilding and then practice applying that knowledge to their own world.

  • Writing a Greek Myth

What makes a myth tick? We’ll find out in this class. Tweens explore themes of transformation, hubris, and heroism as they write their own original Greek myths. A fantastic entry point to the world of fiction writing because the familiar stories and characters provide scaffolding.
